Manifold.... the trick is to put 2 or 3 studs in before you try to put the manifold in. Those 2-3 studs need to be right behind the suspension tower. Once you put the manifold in, it’s impossible to get to those studs.

As you can deduce now, the manifold is in. 7 of 8 studs are in. EGR is connected. Exhaust pipe is connected. Just gotta get one more stud in and button it all up.

Trying to wrestle the manifold in, i cut up 12 fingers on my hands and 3 hands. I am now PartyPooper GroundBeef Hands.

This last stud is gonna be a bitch. Hind sight, I should have put it in before putting the manifold in, but was told the bottom is easy to do. I will str uggle a bit more tonight and hopefully will be done with passenger side.

Need the car this weekend. Then I will start on driver side. MAYBE. Or Maybe ill bring it to the dealership and have them finish that side. I don’t know yet. I haven’t decided. We’ll see how tonight goes

the other side requires removal of the steering linkage and lifting the engine partially. I am afraid I will bend oil pan and cause it to leak doing that. I’ll see. I have all weekend to work on it. I might pull it off. After all, I have all the tools imaginable now.

I have about 7 sets of extractors. I can extract just about anything from just about anywhere. I just need about 7 sets of installers so i can install just about anything just about anywhere.
